For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) Names are important to God. Names often relate to some aspect of ones birth. Names and titles often relate to some aspect of one’s life or mission. They are empowering prophesies that tell the direction that life will go. God took all of the redemptive names that described himself and wrapped them in one name … JESUS. His name is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.
